About me

Hi I'm Al Gauthier and I'm a cyclist - always have been. Riding since the age of 3 on my tricycle up and down the unpaved driveway where I grew up.
I spent a few years mountain bike racing which I really enjoyed. I had some success wining the series championship one year.
I've been to France to ride some of the Alps on the Tour de France.
I rode in the Pan Mass challenge a couple of years and volunteered as a bike mechanic as well.
A few of challenging rides were the Mt. Washington bicycle race, the Ride to the Clouds event in Massachusetts, and also participating in a time trial series one season.
My passion, other than riding bikes is building them. I opened a bike shop in PA back in 2005. Since moving to MA I spent my time doing road and trail riding, sailing, and hiking.
I enjoy helping my friends with their bikes, doing repairs, building wheels, and complete bikes. It's what I like to do so I'm back in the bike shop business.
